Dark dmr - Veenendaal 2026

The days are getting shorter and winter is just around the corner. While we eagerly anticipate the Dutch Mini Rally in the spring, luckily we don’t have to wait until then to get the Mini out of the garage again.

After the success of the first two editions, we’re organizing the 3rd “Dark Edition” on Saturday, January 17, 2026 – an evening rally that combines the charm of driving in the dark with conviviality and challenge.

THE PROGRAM

Participants will gather around 3:00 PM at the Van der Valk Hotel in Veenendaal. After the usual formalities—registration, collecting the rally shield and route book, a cup of coffee or tea with a treat, and, of course, a warm New Year’s greeting—the briefing will follow.

The participants will start around 4:00 PM. It’s still light at first, but dusk soon gives way to the real work: driving in the dark, where concentration and navigation become extra important.

On behalf of the organizers, Dick and Gerben will create a beautiful and challenging route, divided into the three well-known classes. After about two and a half hours of driving, a Dutch stamppot buffet awaits you at a charming location along the way.

Once everyone has recovered, the ride continues in the dark via a scenic loop back to the Van der Valk hotel in Veenendaal. The first teams are expected back at the hotel around 10:00 PM, where snacks and a well-deserved drink will be waiting (included). The results will be calculated quickly, so we can celebrate the winners of the third edition of the Mini Dutch Mini Rally – Dark Edition before 11:00 PM.

The registration fee is €160 and includes:

* Reception with coffee/tea and snacks *

* Stamppot buffet on the way *

* Drinks and snacks at the finish *

Any hotel stay is at your own expense

The rally will of course be driven with the Mini, but given the season, a more modern or comfortable means of transport may also be chosen.

In short: an atmospheric evening full of driving pleasure, navigation challenges and conviviality – exactly as you would expect from the Dutch Mini Rally

Dark Dutch Mini Rally 2026 / January 17, 2026

 

Terms

Participation in the Dark Dutch Mini Rally 2026 costs €160. This price is for one team of two people. Included in the price are participation in the rally with one team of two people, a reception with coffee and snacks at the start, a hot buffet, and refreshments during the awards ceremony. In addition, two rally shields, the route books, and a clear explanation after the rally.

Registration will only be accepted when the rally secretariat of the Dutch Mini Rally Foundation has received the digital registration form and the payment of €160 due upon registration.

There is room for 35 teams.

Classification

Participants will register for one of the classes listed below. The organization reserves the right to assign a team to another class if necessary.

  • Comfort class: For teams that want to participate in a relaxed way, with simple map reading systems. Ideal for beginners.
  • Touring class: For teams with some experience, where map reading plays a slightly greater role.
  • Sport class: For experienced participants looking for challenging and varied map reading systems. A new and challenging interpretation of the route book is expected every year.
  • Veterans class: For teams whose navigator and/or driver already has a lot of rally experience and wants to drive the comfort class in a relaxed way.

 

Notice:

Participants who won the Touring Class in a previous edition must enter the Sporting Class or may enter the Veterans Class.

Participants who won the Comfort Class in a previous edition will register for the Touring Class or the Veterans Class.

Email address correspondence

Please Note! The email address provided here will be used by the organization to communicate with you! So please check carefully which e-mail address is provided. Participants are responsible for communicating a change in this information themselves.

 

Rallycheck app data

Participating teams will be asked to provide the phone number and email address they used to download the app when registering. Participants must submit any changes to this information themselves via dickvanlierop@hotmail.com. This information can be changed no later than January 3, 2026.

Payment, insurance & liability

The full registration fee must be paid upon registration. Provide your own adequate travel and cancellation insurance. The foundation, organizers and sponsors exclude any liability, for both direct and indirect damages of any kind. The participants indemnify the foundation, organizers and sponsors against any claims by themselves or third parties.

 

Cancellation by participant

The total entry fee will be refunded to registrants whose entries are not accepted by the organization.

The total registration fee will be refunded to participants who notify the organization by email before 15-11-2025, midnight that they wish to withdraw their registration.

The registration fee will be partially refunded (Full registration fee, minus 50%) if the participant withdraws in writing after 15-11-2025 but before 15-12-2025, 24:00.

There will be no refund of the registration fee if the participant withdraws the registration after 12/15/2025, midnight.

 

Cancellation by organization

If the event is cancelled due to force majeure, the organizers will refund 100% of the registration fee, minus any costs incurred at that time. Force majeure is defined as any event or circumstance beyond the organizer’s control, or any other government-imposed measure, that prevents the event from taking place. If the event is cancelled due to insufficient teams (minimum 35), the organizers will refund 100% of the registration fee, minus any costs incurred at that time.

 

Privacy

Use of photographs: The Mini Dutch Mini Rally organizers may post images of the event on their social media channels (Instagram, Facebook, and iOS). No person will be recognizably depicted in these images. The organizers are not responsible for images taken by participants themselves and posted by them on their own social media accounts.

Entry list and results: The Mini Dutch Mini Rally organization will publish the names, class, and car type of each team on the entry list and the names of the team in the results on the website.
