Corona virus

Sunday, March 22, 2020.

Dear Dutch Mini Rally friends,

We would like to inform you about a decision that the board of the Dutch Mini Rally Foundation has taken today. The 16th edition of the Dutch Mini Rally will be held from 25 April to 1 May 2021. The main reason for this is the situation regarding the coronavirus in Europe. We cannot (and do not want) to take any risks with the health of our participants and crew members.

Another important reason is that governments of different countries within Europe implement their travel restrictions and requirements. There is insufficient clarity on how these travel restrictions and requirements will develop over the next five weeks. This fact, combined with the health argument of our participants and crew members and the financial obligations surrounding the event, lead to the inevitable conclusion that it is currently necessary for all involved to move the event to April 2021.

The route for the 16th edition is ready to be checked on site. The route in 2021 will therefore be the same route that has already been prepared. All the hotels and the boat company DFDS have indicated in recent days that they want to cooperate in shifting the date. Therefore, the organization has taken this decision today. The program of the 16th Dutch Mini Rally will remain the same as much as possible.

All registrations will remain valid and we will adjust the registrations to the new date. We assume that all teams that are now registered will be in Dover in April 2021.

If there are any questions, don’t hesitate to reach out to us. Preferably by e-mail to

We count on your understanding of the decision made today, and that we can welcome all teams to the start of Dover on 25 April 2021.

We continue to hope that everyone is in good health and remains in good health!

On behalf of the entire DMR organization,

Christiaan Wilhelm
Chairman of the Dutch Mini Rally Foundation
